Famous Islamic scholar Maulana Kaleem Siddiqui and his three companions and the driver have been picked up by the security agency for questioning. Late night, in support of Maulana, people from the Muslim community, including Ulama, gathered at the Lisadigate police station.UP ATS has arrested Maulana Kaleem Siddiqui.
Maulana Kalim Siddiqui (64 years) resident of Phulat village of Muzaffarnagar had come to a program at the residence of Imam Shariq of Masjid Mashallah in Humayunnagar of Lisadigate at 7 pm on Tuesday. After the prayer of Isha at nine o’clock in the night, he along with his companions left to Phulat.
Sources said that the agency was on the lookout for him on the basis of suspicion. On Tuesday night, security agencies had camped in Lisadigate. At nine o’clock in the night, as Maulana had left for Phulat from Meerut with his companions, he was picked up for interrogation
