Congress MP Kumari Selja Calls BJP “Very Weak” Amid Haryana Polls, Confident of Congress Victory

Hisar: As polling began for the 90 assembly constituencies in Haryana on Saturday, Congress MP Kumari Selja expressed confidence in her party’s prospects, stating that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is “very weak” and eager to welcome her due to their vulnerability.

After casting her vote in Hisar, Selja told reporters that the election would be a turning point for Haryana, claiming it to be a one-sided contest. “The BJP is ready to welcome me because they are already weak. They need strong leaders. We will win all 90 seats,” she said.

Addressing rumors of internal rifts within the Haryana Congress, Selja emphasized that key decisions, including leadership roles, are determined by the party’s high command. She reiterated her seniority and influence, indicating her potential as a frontrunner for key positions.

Over two crore voters are eligible to cast their ballots in Saturday’s elections, with results scheduled to be announced on October 8.
