Nine TN fishermen escape in firing by Sri Lankan Naval Officials

Chennai: In a shocking incident, the Naval officials of Sri Lanka have fired several round on the fishermen of Tamil Nadu on Friday, accusing the fishermen of crossing international maritime boundary lines.

During the fire, the nine fishermen who were on board of their boat, had a narrow escape. Meanwhile the boat suffering some damage due to firing.

According to reports, the fishermen had travelled from Pamban in Rameshwaram in the deep sea for fishing.

In the incident, the fishermen escaped and reached Indian shore.

Meanwhile, MP, Anbumani Ramadoss has taken the matter seriously and demanded the Indian government register its complaint with the Sri Lankan government.

Demanding strong condemnation from the government, he also demanded the compensation to the fishermen for the damage of the boat.
