No permission to demolish the temple to build commercial building: Sindh Government of Pakistan

Karachi: A building of a place of worship will not be demolished to allow the construction of a building for commercial use. Pakistan’s Sindh government says it is okay to build a place of worship belonging to a minority community.

The government reacted like this after the case of demolition of a 150-year-old Hindu temple in Karachi was reported.

An evil cabal of builders razed the Mari Devi temple. The Hindu community alleged that this act took place after Emraan Hashmi and Rekha Bai sold the property of the temple using fake documents.

Denying the allegation, the Sindh government has ordered the police and local administration to stop the construction and demolition of the temple site.

The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) believes in religious harmony and freedom. The party’s Karachi Mayor Barrister Murtaza Wahab said that no one will be allowed to construct or demolish the place of worship. Dawn newspaper here reported.
