Tragic Fire at Kenyan School Claims 17 Lives, 70 Students Still Missing

A devastating fire broke out at the Hillside Endarasha Academy, a primary residential school in Nyeri County, Kenya, late at night. Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua confirmed that the fire erupted around midnight while over 150 students were asleep. Tragically, 17 students have been confirmed dead, and 70 others remain missing.

Efforts are underway to identify the deceased through DNA testing, and authorities are working to determine the cause of the fire as search operations continue for the missing students.
