The Cauvery Water Management Authority (CWMA) has once again ordered Karnataka to release 5 thousand cusecs of Cauvery water to Tamil Nadu.
The order was issued at the Cauvery River Water Management Committee meeting held at the CWMA office in New Delhi on Monday.
As per the order of September 12, Karnataka has been instructed to release five thousand cusecs of water daily for 15 days. Further, the Cauvery Water Control Board strongly suggested that the committee’s order should be followed.
By this, the Cauvery Water Control Committee has now reiterated the same order given earlier. This is another setback for Karnataka and we have to wait and see what decision the government will take.
