AstraZeneca announces worldwide withdrawal of Covid vaccine

It has been reported that AstraZeneca, the company that developed the vaccine, has started a global recall of its Covid vaccine amid the CoviShield side effect debate.

CoviShield vaccine can cause blood clots and low platelet count in the body. AstraZeneca has admitted to a UK court that it can cause thrombosis with thrombocytopenia syndrome, or TTS.

The vaccine, developed by AstraZeneca and Oxford University, is manufactured in India by the Serum Institute of India under the name CoviShield.

AstraZeneca has claimed that the Covid vaccine will be withdrawn globally due to commercial reasons. The agency said the vaccine is no longer being produced and is no longer being used.

AstraZeneca’s Covid vaccine is marketed globally under the brand names CoviShield and VaxJevria. The company is facing a £100 million lawsuit against the vaccine, which is accused of causing death and pain.

About 81 deaths in the UK have been attributed to TTS caused by CoviShield. But AstraZeneca, which is now withdrawing the CoviShield vaccine, has denied any connection to the court case and the decision.
