Facebook deletes ‘Millat Times’ page without any notice, had over 1 million followers

Facebook has deleted the official page of the Millat Times on Monday 13 December at 7:30 pm without any official notice, according to the multilingual media house.

On its official Twitter handle, Millat Times said, “Facebook has deleted the Millat Times page. The page had more than 1 million followers and millions of viewers, which the company has deleted without any notification. According to IT experts, the report was made against the page, due to which this happened. We demand from Facebook that this page should be restored because videos and news based on reality and truth were posted here.”

With more than a million followers and its audience in crores, Millat Times is an online news channel that believes that it has never violated Facebook’s rules in any way.

Shams Tabrez Qasmi, Chief Editor of Millat Times also tweeted, “Facebook has deleted the official page of Millat Times from here without any notice. Millat Times had more than a million followers and its audience was in crores.”

Mr. Qasmi also appealed to Meta India to restore the page of Millat Times again.

The poster of the last post Debate “Desh Ke Saath” was shared on the Facebook page. The topic of this debate was “Prohibition of Muslims to offer prayers, permission to people of other religions”. Since then the page is not appearing.

Started in 2016, Millat Times now publishes news in four languages ​​(Urdu, Hindi, English, Bangla). It has a website, youtube, Facebook page, and Twitter handle. Millat Times has close to 9 lakh subscribers on a YouTube channel, including a mobile app.

But on Monday evening, Facebook took down its page and surprised everyone. Several people are appealing to Facebook and Meta India on different social media platforms to restore the page of Millat Times.
