ISRO rocket spare part found on Australian beach

Melbourne: The Australian Space Agency (ASA) has come to a final conclusion that the mysterious dome-shaped object found on an Australian beach last month is part of an Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) rocket.

The object was found near Green Head Beach in Western Australia on July 15.

‘We have come to a final conclusion regarding the mystery object. “We have concluded that it is a spare part of the third stage of the ‘Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV)’ flown by ISRO,” AASA said.

‘We have preserved the remains. “We are in discussions with ISRO to take further action under the obligation of the United Nations space treaties,” ASA said.

According to the United Nations Outer Space Treaty, any material related to space exploration, found in any country, must be returned to the country concerned.
