Upcoming Film ‘Tipu’ Draws Criticism for Alleged False Claims About Mysore Emperor’s Life

The announcement of the upcoming film ‘Tipu’ has stirred controversy and backlash from netizens. The film, which claims to be based on the life of Mysore emperor Tipu Sultan, has been accused of being a propaganda tool that aims to distort history.

Netizens have taken to social media to express their concerns over the movie ‘Tipu,’ stating that it aims to spread false information and further the agenda of certain groups. The movie claims that Tipu Sultan was a Hindu hater who forcefully converted thousands of Hindus to Islam and imprisoned many Brahmins, a claim that is not supported by many historians.

This announcement comes after the release of another controversial film, “The Kerala Story,” which was also accused of being a propaganda tool by many. The film claimed to showcase the alleged conversion of 32,000 Hindu girls to Islam and later recruited for terrorist organisation ISIS, but no police record or government data shows the disappearance of 32,000 from the state of Kerala or their recruitment to ISIS.

The film will be produced by Sandeep Singh and Rashmi Sharma, with Singh currently producing upcoming movies like ‘Atal,’ ‘Swatantrya Veer Savarkar,’ and ‘Bal Shivaji.’ Sharma is known for producing the movie ‘Pink.’ The movie will be released under the banner of Eros International and directed by Pawan Sharma. The film will be released in Hindi, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam languages.
