Dakshina Kannada | Arrest Made After Seizing 6.325 kg of Ganja

The Mangalore CCB police have seized 6.325 kg of cannabis after tracking down the accused who were transporting and selling the banned drug ganja from Visakhapatnam in Andhra Pradesh to Mangalore city.

Accused Nishant Shetty (36) who had received information that he was transporting ganja in small packets by train and selling it to the public and students in Mangalore city, CCB police raided and arrested him while he was transporting and selling ganja at a Goods Tempo in Krishnanagar area of ​​Thokkott inner city.

Goods Tempo, 6 kg 325 g ganja worth ₹1.50 lakh, 2 mobile phones, digital weight scale, and other items were recovered from the accused. The value of the seized items is estimated at ₹9,11,500. A case has been registered in Ullala Police Station regarding this.

Earlier, more than 10 cases have been registered against the accused, including an assault case in Mangalore rural police station, illegal pistol possession and theft case in Mangalore East police station, shoplifting case in Barke police station, an assault case in Ullala police station, assault and theft case in Vitla police station, sale of ganja in Puttur rural police station.
