The Burial Ceremony for Three Belthangadi Residents Slain in Tumkur

In the recent case of three Beltangadi men being murdered and their car set on fire in Tumkur, the dead bodies of the victims reached their homes in Dakshina Kannada district early today, and the last rites were performed in the afternoon.

Nada village T.B. Auto driver Shahul Hameed, resident of Cross, Ishaq, resident of Madadka, Kuvettu village, and Siddique Yane Imtiaz, resident of Shirlalu village, were found murdered and burnt along with their car on March 22 near Kuchchangi lake in Tumkur.

The dead bodies were completely burnt and could not be identified. In this background DNA test was done. The dead bodies of the three have now been handed over because of the report, and have reached Ujire this morning, seven days after the incident came to light.

The dead bodies of Shahul Hameed and Ishaq were brought to Halepet Muhiuddin Juma Masjid and that of Siddique to Shirlalu Masjid where the last darshan and religious rites were performed.
