Telangana: In a modern-day version of Ramayana, a husband was made to jump into fire in Mulugu Telangana to prove his fidelity. Gangadhar was even made to remove a red-hot spade from the fire to prove his innocence.
Interestingly, it wasn’t his wife who suspected him.
A resident of Banjarupalle village suspected that Gangadhar had an affair with his wife. Then, the man took the case to community heads, who decided that Gangadhar jumped into the fire. But despite doing that, the village heads aren’t convinced and are forcing him to accept his mistake.
Disputed by this, Gangadhar’s wife approached the police. What is more interesting is that Gangadhar and the disputing party were made to deposit 11 Lakh with the community leaders! Apparently, these men spent 6 lakhs.
