A woman in Hyderabad allegedly killed her 19-year-old daughter on Wednesday, after she found out that her daughter was with her boyfriend at their home, police said.
Police sources said that Jangamma allegedly strangled her daughter at their home in Ibrahimpatnam after she found out that both her daughter and boyfriend were alone at her house.
The chilling incident took place on Wednesday when Jangamma returned home from work for lunch and found Bhargavi with her boyfriend.
After seeing her daughter with her alleged boyfriend, she sent him out of the house and started assaulting her daughter before strangling her with a saree, police said.
Ibrahimpatnam police officer Satyanarayana told NDTV that the victim’s minor brother claimed to have witnessed the murder from the window pane. It was the minor’s brother, who filed a complaint against his mother. Jangamma wanted to get her daughter married and the family were also looking for matches, police added.
