Google Releases Special Doodle Marking the Commencement of Voting in Lok Sabha Elections

Google commemorated the initiation of the first phase of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections with a special doodle featuring an image of a finger marked with indelible ink, replacing the iconic Google logo. This symbolic representation of voting directs users to top stories related to Phase 1 of the general elections.

The polling process kicked off with voters exercising their franchise in various regions including Tamil Nadu (39 seats), Uttarakhand (5 seats), Arunachal Pradesh (2), Meghalaya (2), Andaman and Nicobar Islands (1), Mizoram (1), Nagaland (1), Puducherry (1), Sikkim (1), and Lakshadweep (1).

Furthermore, voting took place for 12 seats in Rajasthan, eight in Uttar Pradesh, six in Madhya Pradesh, five seats each in Assam and Maharashtra, four in Bihar, three in West Bengal, two in Manipur, and one seat each in Tripura, Jammu and Kashmir, and Chhattisgarh.
