Tamil Nadu (Chennai): Music legend AR Rahman’s daughter Khadija is also entering the world of melodious music. Khadija, who is also a singer, is making her foray into music direction with the Tamil film ‘Mininni’. Directed by Halita Shamim, the film stars Esther Anil, Gaurav Kalai and Praveen Kishore in lead roles.
Halita informed her fans about this by sharing a picture with Khadija from AM Studio. Halita observed that Khadija was a good music director. “It’s a pleasure to work with this extraordinary talent. Khadijah is a melodious singer and accomplished music director, Shamim Khadijah shared a picture on social media with the caption ‘Baralida Uttam Sangeet’ by Halita.
“Until last year, I had no hope that I would venture into music. But then I found out what my heart wanted to do. Later I did many other things besides singing songs. I am convinced that more needs to be done. So she called Halita madam and asked if the song was ready, I said I am ready. Halita ma’am said she likes my voice and marketing style a lot and wants to work with me. That’s how we came together for Minnini,” said Khadija in a recent interview with a national media house.
Rehman and Sairabanu’s eldest daughter Khadija sang the song Puthu Manithan in the 2010 Rajinikanth film Enthiran. In 2021, the Hindi song ‘Rock A Bye Bye’ and the song ‘Chinnanjiru Nilave’ from Ponniyin Selvan-2 are also in the list.
