Here is a brief biography of Siddaramaiah, the popular CM of Karnataka

Bengaluru: After getting an absolute majority in 2013, Backward Community Leader Siddaramaiah was elected as the unquestioned chief minister by Congress.

Siddaramaiah, who took oath as the Chief Minister at Kanteerava Stadium in Bangalore in May 2013, is now going to ascend the throne of power for the second time, exactly after a decade, in 2023 as the 24th Chief Minister of the state.

Reason for Siddaramaiah to become CM: Siddaramaiah’s dream and desire to become the Chief Minister for the second time got in the way, but this time DK Shivakumar, who is known as the troubleshooter of the Congress, got in the way. So this time Congress won 135 seats, but it took 5 days for the high command to get the results and select the CM.

Siddaramaiah is popular as a leader who cares for the poor and the downtrodden. Support of most MLAs of Congress and Rahul Gandhi’s support for Siddaramaiah.

The CM and DyCM selection issue is finally resolved. But the current doubt is whether Siddaramaiah and DK Shivakumar will continue to work in harmony after two and a half years and whether Siddaramaiah will happily hand over the title of CM to DK Shivakumar without any problem or controversy.

Backward Community Leader: A group that includes minorities, the backward, and Dalits

Siddaramaiah, the leader who took these communities into confidence and showed political strategy, won the trust of the high command in the Congress and developed. Siddaramaiah is another politician who gained popularity and an image like then-Chief Minister Devaraja Urs in the 1970s. Siddaramaiah is a politically influential leader of the backward class, opposite the Vokkaliga and Lingayat leaders, two popular and powerful communities in Karnataka.
